International Women's Forum - Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Former Prime Minister Campbell participated in the International Women's Leadership Forum convened by the Mongolian Community of Democracies Presidency and the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The aim of the forum was to develop a common understanding of women's leadership in democratic societies and share best practices with Mongolian women leaders.

The two key themes of the forum were 1) Women, Energy, and Sustainable Economic Development and 2) Expanding Women's Political and Civic Participation.

Ms. Campbell moderated the panel on Women, Energy, and Sustainable Economic Development and featured panelists:

  • Ashidmaa Dashnyam - VP, Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs, Tenger Financial Group
  • Jeane Hull - Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, Peabody Energy
  • Robin Quarrier – Counsel, Center for Resource Solutions

Ms. Campbell was happy to see Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj during the forum. Interesting note: the President actually took a class from Frmr PM Campbell when she was teaching at Harvard Kennedy School. What a coincidence!
